Because of the natural and ecoligical values 90% of the area within the Dukla Municipality is under protection. Protected areas of Poland are categorised and defined by the Act on Protection of Nature. There are all known legal categories, which vary by level of protection.
Magura National Park

Only small part of the park lies within the municipality – 1 136,6 ha that constitiutes 3,4% of the whole area of the Dukla Municipality. The Magura National Park was formed on 24th November 1994 but the park started to function on 1st January 1995. Whole area of the park covers 19 439 ha, of which 87% is the area of Podkarpackie Voivodeship (Jasło District: municipalities of Krempna, Dębowiec, Osiek Jasielski and Krosno District: municipality of Dukla).
The Magura National Park covers the middle part of the Lower Beskids with low and medium mountains.
Feet of the hills lie at height of 380-400 m above sea level. Mountains’ peaks rarely exceed 800 m. The Wisłoka river has its spring on a slope of Dębi Wierch (582 m above sea level). The Wisłoka river creates beautiful gorges and picturesque bends. The park mostly consists of forest 95% of the area and the remaining/other 5% are meadows and pastures.
The most precious elements of the Magura National Parki are many types of orchises and big forest predators. Wild open spaces wihtout any buildings strech throught thousands of hectares and attract many wanderers. Orthodox churches, small roadside chapels, crosses and cemetaries from WWI are also vorth visiting.
Jaśliska Landscape Park
Jaśliska Landscape Park lies in south-eastern part of the Lower Beskids along Slovak border in the municipalities of Krempna,Dukla, Jaśliska and Komańcza. The park was founded in 1992 and covers 20 911 ha. The highest peak is Kamień nad Jaśliskami (857 m above sea level). Park protects the upper Jasiołka river basin, springfen of Wisłok river and anew wildlife after the forced expulsion of Lemko after World War II.
The most valuable elements of the park is forest with sycamores and elms as well as undergrowth with a rare fern – hart’s-tongue.
Flora of the park includes 900 types of plants and trees , of which 600 are mountain types. 76% of the park territory is coverd with forest. Lemko abandoned villages like Jasiel, Czeremch and Lipowiec are characteristic elements of the landscape. Now the only valuable cultural and historical artifacts bind to the turbulent history of living on these lands Poles, Lemko and Jews are the remains of the buildings, hidden crosses and fruit trees.

Obszar Chronionego Krajobrazu Beskidu Niskiego
Całkowita powierzchnia obszaru chronionego wynosi 82 630 ha. Obszar ten obejmuje tereny chronione, ze względu na wyróżniający się krajobraz o zróżnicowanych ekosystemach, wartościowe ze względu na możliwość zaspakajania potrzeb związanych z masową turystyką i wypoczynkiem. Zlokalizowany jest na terenie gmin: Dębowiec, Krempna, Nowy Żmigród i Osiek Jasielski w powiecie jasielskim, Dukla, Rymanów, Iwonicz-Zdrój i Miejsce Piastowe w powiecie krośnieńskim, Besko, Bukowsko, Komańcza, Sanok, Zagórz i Zarszyn w powiecie sanockim.
